Premium Oval Wood Shutter

The shutter is not a circle. The height is taller then the width. This shutter will have the Traditional Center Tilt Rod. We recommend an outside mount, due to window openings not being perfect. There will be no hinges on the shutter. The panel will attach to the frame with recessed magnets or buttons with catches. Larger sizes are available, please contact customer service. We will email you a drawing to approve all sizes prior to production.

When ordering an outside mount shutter you need to add overlap to your window opening to mount your shutter. For the Beaded L Frame the recommended overlap is 2" per side. Example if your opening is 30" W x 40" H we recommend ordering your shutter 34" W x 44" H. Do not add overlap to the bottom if you have a window sill that your shutter will rest on.

When ordering an inside mount shutter you need to take a deduction to allow your shutter to fit inside your opening. We suggest 1/4" minimum for proper clearance. You must include this deduction in the width & height you order your shutter at. Example if your opening is 30" W x 40" H you would need to order no larger than 29 3/4" W x 39 3/4" H. More of a deduction may be needed depending on the squareness of your window.

Shutter panels only, no frame. May be mounted inside or outside of the window (picture below is inside mount). The size you enter will be the finished size of your panel(s). In the next step, please select the number of panels you want for this opening. Example: in Step 1, if you entered your overall size as 24" wide, you may pick one panel which would be 24" wide and hinged on the left or on the right. Or you may select 2 panels, one left, one right, and each panel will be approximately 12" wide. The number of panels you may select is determined by the overall size you entered in Step 1. Hinges will be included.

Available on L-frame and Decorative frames, outside mount only: If your window does not have the needed depth for the shutter you want to order you can add extension frame. The extension will be the same material and color as the shutter. It will project the shutter off of the wall adding additional depth for the louvers to open without hitting the window. You can choose from 1/8" thick up to 1 7/8" thick. *See specifications tab at the top of this page for depth needed depending on the frame and louver size you want to order.
