If multiple shades are ordered each shade will operate on its own channel separately as well as at the same time while holding the button down. Example: two shades ordered- Shade #1 will operate on channel 1, Shade #2 will operate on channel #2 with a 6 channel remote, both shades will operate at the same time when you hold the button down..
